I just don't know what to say some times...I really don't.

It's really been a sad week, or maybe a couple of sad weeks actually.
It was recently in the news that the two "Mafia Cops" were found guilty of the charges aledged against them. What a blow to law enforcement nation wide. There was obviously enough eveidence to make a jury believe that they were guilty. Do I trust the jury system......I think I do.....but sometimes I question the verdicts I see across the nation. I think maybe it's not the system of a jury I question, but the way the criminal justice system works sometimes. I guess I would classify it as the inconsistencies in the justice system as a whole.
If these two ex-cops are guilty, then lock'm up, throw away the key. Maybe someone some where can learn something from it for the benefit of society as a whole.....lets hope so.
Now last week I reported that there were a couple of Hells Angels that got shot up in Connecticut, one was fatally wounded. The other was some what a lot less injured and survived his wounds. Ok.....upon connecting with some prominent law enforcement colleagues I have learned that it was a rival outlaw motorcycle club that probably did the shooting. Regardless of who the shooters were, it was still definately a cowardly act, that killed one, wounded one, and endangered many, many others. So.....it just goes to show how brave these "Gang" members are. Nice going guys.....and I mean that in the most sarcastic manner as I can muster.
I also see that Mr. Libby is in the news again. He now says that he leaked the information that caused the outing of Valarie Plame because the President said it was OK. I smell another coward here.....I see this as a ploy to throw things so far out of wack, that it will force the prosecution to called the President and Vice President as witness's, and it will just muck up the whole process, create a political subtrafuge or quagmire and the point of the whole incident will be lost in translation during the judicial process.....and no one will end up being held accountable.
Now if that were a layman on trial for an equal or lateral crime, the jury would already be in and they would be on their way to a state or federal prison......because it is people of prominent alledged importance in the nations capitol, they get special treatment. We in some form or another are probably paying for their defense too, don't doubt it.
I'm not going to say it will be interesting to see how it comes out, because it won't be interesting, it will be disgusting how the other lawyers and judges will cater to these people of importance, and justice will be once again be difused, dissected, and not dealt with. The guilty will walk away free, and unvindicated.
The rest of the government is entangled in the illegal alien debate...er excuse me...guest worker issue. Sorry...I'm not politically correct.( SO WHAT!)
Ok, I've ranted enough for today I guess, so with that.....

Have a good day and good luck......

A word about Natalie Holloway

I would like to write about good News once in awhile, but I don't see much of it these days. Today I'd like to put out a few thoughts about the Natalie Holloway case in Aruba.
March 29th, 06....Gerald Dompig, the lead investigator in the Holloway case announces that they have what relates to being a very reliable tip. The tipster is someone who alledgedly had knowledge of the crime. The search for Natalies body was to resume in the area of the dunes . Then....................
March31st,06....the news services report that there is going to be a reenactment of the last hours of Natalies life......for a Dutch television show the equivalent of our very own "Americas Most Wanted". The Dutch show is to be aired on April 11th,06. In the Netherlands. The news services weren't clear as to wether the show was to be aired in the USA.
OK......it has been six days, apparently the searchs that Dompig was so confident were going to turn up new clues, didn't turn anything up. I guess maybe the tipster who ever he or she might be missed the mark on this one.
..........OR!!!! Gerald Dompig being the astute, and tenacious investigator he is, really believes that making a commercialized, profit making, rate gaining, re-enactment of "Natalies Last Hours" will turn up new clues.
Ya.....ok.....folks don't believe this one for a minute. I really do wonder if there is an informant, if there was any word about what happened that awful night, or is this some twisted publicity stunt to take the heat of the Aruban authorities? I'll go with my gut feeling thanks.
I still contend that this Gerald Dompig has been less than forthcoming as to how he has conducted himself and the investigation. Not only do I think this is just another of the many obscure Aruban scams since this whole incident occured, but I also think that it will provide no benefit to the cops. I mean for Natalies sake, they are going to air the show in friggin Europe.......YUP!!!!....Europe.....it should be aired in Aruba....last I checked, the news services said the show was scheduled to appear on the Dutch television station that is doing the show, in the land of wooden shoes. Now theres some logic for ya.( probably Dompigs idea). Please someone read this blog and tell me different. Tell me they are going to air it in Aruba..........where the crime took place.......er excuse me, the dissapearence if you will. Gerald Dompig has also made it clear that Natalie could have died from alcohol poisoning(and or a possible drug overdose) Uh huh, ya....ok Gerald we hear ya........lazy f#&%er.
This is what I mean about the sham I think is taking place. It almost appears that the Arubans will do anything to make it appear that a murder didn't occur in their little island paradise.
And in closing, remember I said there wasn't anything good to write about? Well it turns out that there is.......yup....there is.
Tom Delay has said he will resign in June, and won't seek re-election. Tell me that creep isn't dirty. I look at him and I see that fake smile that says, you cross me you son of a bitch ,I'll screw you over ten times, just because I can. I'm glad the SOB is saying good by.

And with that my friends........

A shooting in Westhaven Conn.

April 3rd, 06.....Westhaven Conn. Apparently on the 2nd of the month there was a shooting on I95 near Westhaven. The guy that got shot was a motorcyclist. He was able to pull his bike to the side of the road where he discovered he had been shot in the torso. He later died at a hospital.
The shooter in the incident got away. There are reports that the vehicle the shooter was in was an SUV with Florida plates....no further description or information. The Conn. State police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
OK, anyone that knows anything about this story knows I left out some important facts. The rider of the motorcycle was a Hells Angels motorcycle club member. A fellow rider was also wounded but he was treated and released, according to the news accounts. He also was a member of the Hells Angels motorcycle club.
Now....what I have printed here is pretty much what the online news services had to give to us inquisative bloggers.
I find it interesting that the description of the vehile is one with Florida plates, being that the Hells Angels are suing Disney over copryright infringements. It was the first thing I thought of. ( Not that Disney put out a hit on the Angels either), but rather that some demented Floridian with a gun is traveling. Spots a group of HA on the highway, and opens fire, then drives on into the night or what ever. Then again maybe it's a rival Club that rented a vehicle with Florida plates just to throw the law off and they did the deed. Then again it could have been as the police suggested that there had been an altercation on the road between the Hells Angels and this particular motorist, and the motorist had a gun, was highly pissed, and opened fire. Who knows.....there are a myriad of scenarios I could comtemplate all day.
Now being a biker, I know better than a lot of people that the ladies and gentlemen on four wheels have a very high disregard for those of us on two wheels. Many...not all....of you four wheelers just don't pay attention to your surroundings and many many times just run us little two wheelers right off the road. To be fair though, I have to say, I see many two wheel riders who just ride way to fast, split lanes, and cut in and out of traffic because they think they can, and many times they cause the accidents. Everytime I have been cut off, or run off the road, when I have caught up to the person driving the four wheel vehicle, they often say....."I DIDN'T SEE YOU!!!".....oh well, enough said about that.
I'm sure if there was an altercation, which I doubt the Hells Angels will admit to being a part of.I wonder what did this guy do that caused another motorist to SHOOT him? Thats the question I have. Actually there are many questions, which may go unanswered if the law enforcement officials don't get some tips on the matter. Maybe some witness's will come forward......who knows.
If it were me investiagting the incident. I'd treat it like any other crime. Exhaust all my leads, keep digging, until I found out why someone had died.
Hells Angel or not, the deadman will speak no more. So now it's up to the police and the other authorities, it's up to them to speak for the dead. Especially the murdered dead.
And I can only hope that the Hells Angels don't get a hold of the shooter before the authorites do, as it won't fare well for the individual, no matter who it is. It may not be right, but thats life on their terms. Like it or not.......

Have a great day,

Let me set the record straight

I have been accused of being a liberal and a left winger. Well, I really don't think that is accurate. I believe in honesty. It seems today that honesty isn't to popular. Especially in the world of politics. I'm registered as a member of the Republican Party. A party of late that doesn't much impress me. I'm also not real enlightened by the Democrates either. They think that with Bushs low poll numbers now is the time to strike. How? I ask will they what they call strike at? Maybe Howard Dean can yehaw them into action.
The press reports that the repubs are in shambles and distancing themselves from Bush. It my appear so in some cases, but I don't think the party will abandon him. I don't like him. he instills no faith inmme as a powerful leader. A man who when questioned on the fly can't complete a full sentence in response to question with a GLOWING answer is NOT a powerful leader by any means. Not in my book anyway.
I also think that Bush and the Republicans have misled the American people. I also think that the Democrats will not be able to muster enough political capitol to rally a shift in power. They are going to have to do better than Hillary Clinton. They should also try and muzzle that Dean character too.
I read somewhere on another blog, and for the life of me I just spent an hour reading blogs trying to find this...." that the balance of politics is some where in the middle, between the Republicans and the Democrats." Just where that actual equalibrium is? I have no Idea.
I'm sure that it will be an interesting time for us in the coming months and years. I still maintain we need a masterful leadership in this country, and the Bush Cheney crew ain't it.
We have some issues in this country that need to be addressed, and I don't mean quick fixes, but viable programs in place to deal with the safety and security of the nation.

With that said: to paraphrase a great news reporter. " Good Night and Good Luck."

Just a few thoughts

No this is not an April foools joke, although my significant other and her offspring seem to revel in the act of playing practical jokes. It will be a long day I'm afraid.
OK...time for me to rant.
As most Americans know, our fellow countrymen and women are fighting for their lives in the name of Democracy in Iraq. It started approximately 4 years ago.
It seems that we went into the war a bit ill prepared. Our troops for the most part weren't properly armed, er should I say "armoured".
The ARMY or I guess the expert war pontiffs at the Pentagon are now saying that the men and women over there aren't allowed to buy their own body armour to supplement the Armys inferior stuff.
Now....we have been at the task at hand in Iraq going on 4 years...it would seem to me by NOW....that someone would have the logistical support right for the men and women. ThePentagon can't give our people over there proper protection, so they prohibit them from buying body armour to protect themselves. The Pentagon war pontiffs claim that it is inferior stuff and doesn't protect them anyway. They also say that because of the roadside attacks, they have started issuing ceramic body side armour in an effort to limit casualties. Now....this is a good thing. I just wonder what took so long? I also wonder how does a modern army from the alledged most powerful nation on earth go into a WAR, so ill prepared? It's certainly not the guys on the ground in the shooting war who did the planning, now is it. So I ask Rumsfelf and his people, how do you send people to certain death or at least serious maiming, and sleep at night? OH DAMN.....I forgot, you guys are just serving your country, and someone has to do the dirty work.
No folks this is no April fools joke, it's the real deal. Everyday we have folks over in Iraq seriously injured. They are shipped back to the United States, broken and burned. Most don't even get follow up medical attention or physical therapy. Then on top of that they are required to pay for the equipment that got lost or damaged when they got shot up.
In closing I just gotta say......What do you expect from a President that touts military service along the same line as being a Boy Scout troop leader? No wonder the war ain't going well, especially for the folks fighting it.
