President Bush defines Democracy

Good morning, hope everyone enjoyed my quick post yesterday, threw it together in a hurray, had to re-edit it several times, so I apologize for the mistakes. I think I took care of them.
Ya know.....I'm tired of President Bush, I'm tired of the White House press staff. They won't comment on anything this guy does, and they know what he is doing and saying, but they refuse to go near it.
OK....heres what I'm getting at. It has been reported by a New York news paper, that Bush sent a personal memo to the head of the Shiite political bloc through Ambassador Zalmay. It was to the interim prime minister, Jaafari. Basically the "memo" stated that Mr.Bush..."doesn't want, doesn't support, doesn't accept" Mr. Jaarafri as the next prime minister of Iraq. Then the state department stated that it supports...." a government of national unity with strong leadership that can unify all Iraqis", but they weren't commenting on the memo, as it was a presidential communication or some such nonsense.
So I guess the President, the shepard of world democracy is saying that if the Iraqi people elect Mr. Jaarafri, even though it would be through a democratic election....it's unacceptable. Then we have the state department saying that they need a leader who is strong and can unify, which apparently they think Jaarafri is not. Well ain't that dandy.
We have a President preaching democratic elections, but he wants to dictate who the next leader of the free Iraqi state will be....and we have the current state department making allegations about a leader in a war torn country, a war that we started. Yup sounds like democracy is just bustin out all over Iraq.
What does the White House say about it? Nothing, absolutely nothing. Then really what can they say. I think the state department and GWB said quite enough.
Life goes on, the war goes on, the Senate debates the Catch 22 immigration issue. The merry go round does just that....it goes round and round...and I wonder, when will the American People wake up and scream that they want to get off, as they are getting sick.

Good day, and good luck to all,

African Americans, a cat, and a dog......

Hello everyone. Almost time to go home, so this will be a quick post until tomorrow.
I was checking out this afternoons news bites from the different news agencies on line. I came across a very disturbing video. What the video depicted was disturbing in several aspects. It shows several African American men, one man in particular with his dog. The dog appeared to be a mixed breed dog. During the course of the video, the dog is on and off a leash. It shows the owner of the dog carrying a cat. He sets the cat down on the side walk. Then it shows the owner of the dog, with the dog on a leash. The dog on the leash is tearing the cat up. The cat eventually died from the mauling.
Now what disturbs me is, it appeared to be some form of entertainment for the African American men present during the incident.(Disturbing fact number one.) The owner of the dog as seen in the video procured the cat for the purpose of turning his dog on it.(Disturbing fact number 2), then while the afore mentioned dog(on leash held by dogs owner) dog tears up cat, dog owner makes no attempt to stop the dog.(disturbing fact number three).
So I do wonder, what exactly the purpose of the incident was? Why didn't any of the other African American men watching go to the defense of the cat? Why would any humane being intentionally illicit harmful activity from an animal he is supposed to be in control of.....for enjoyment or entertainment?
Anyone wanna take a guess? I don't...cause I wouldn't like the answer I'd have to print here.

Have a great day, and good luck in all your endeavors.....

April 2nd,2006. it was reported by a Syracuse, NY. television news station that this incident occured in Watertwon, NY. Alledgedly the authorites are looking into the incident.

Border Dispute, Border Security.....Yeah Right!!!!

I really do wonder if what people are saying about the movie Vendetta is true. That it is a statement about our times and how most people just go along and let the government bully them. I'm not sure, I haven't seen the movie....but there are some developements in the news and politics I find alrming if not disturbing.
First, lets talk about out border security......ya I know, I've pandered on this issue before. News head lines on CBS news.com. Dirty bomb materials smuggled through two points at the American border. One in the north and one in the south. Then in a side line article. They state it is a slow process to bolster the security at the American borders. I truely find this outrageous. Then the all knowing all seeing Bush administration says that in 45 days they will implement the proper tools so that the border patrol agents won't be fooled by fake documents. DAMN!!! It's only going to take 45 days? I guees that makes sense, it's only been 4 years since 9/11!!!....Well Jesus H you know who, why weren't these measures in place already? What exactly is it going to take to infuriate people in this country to DEMAND that their elected officials start doing the right thing.
The Republicans and the Democrats are nothing but a SHAM. They are now posturing over the damn guest worker bill. Give it a rest. Just why in hell do you think all these people to our south want to move to the United States? Because they are living in a third world nation, where EVERYONE is corrupt. The politicians the cops, probably even the mailmen are corrupt.
So naturally to the north they have a nation whose borders are easy to cross, they can get jobs, the jobs don't pay very good, but it's better than what they can make in Mexico, so northward they venture, into the arms of the American people.
OK.....this is all well and fine, but it really isn't. The economy here is bad. I don't care what GWB says. General Motors is laying off another 14 to 15 thousand people. (Tell me GM isn't in dire straits), and thats just the tip of the iceberg of companies that are jockying around just to keep the doors open.
It won't be long before the money runs out folks, it's just a matter of time. Then the United States will become a Third World nation, there will be two classes of people. The extremely rich, and the destitute poor. The infrastructure of the country won't resemble anything we have today.
Do I paint a bleak picture.....DAMN STRAIGHT I DO!!!!....Why? Because I'm sick and tired of my hard earned tax money being squandered for programs that don't do anything for the people in this country. President Bush just put into LAW, cuts to the health benefits for military personel. He has cut domestic programs that benefit the true poor in this country, the people that really do need public assistance. The education system in the United States has been trashed. If the general population can't see how inappropriate the response to hurricane Katrina was(and is) by the current administration.....WOW! I do wonder what exactly it will take to wake the citizens of the United States up.
He squanders our tax dollars, and then turns around and wants to give benefit to illegal aliens, people who have SNUCK into our country. They have violated the sovereignty of our national borders to get here, but yes, lets open our arms and give them the keys to the country. I'm sorry, and this is only for me. My charity only goes so far. I think we as a nation are much to charitable, we give to much away.
At any rate, this boder dispute , guest worker issue is going to turn around and bite us on the perverbial ass. I think at some point some where there are going to be dire consequences suffered by US citizens. It will make the WTC act look small. I do hope I'm wrong, but our government has been way to lax, way to long. Prove me wrong, I'd love it and welcome it. Although I think the small print is already on the wall.

Have a great day, and good luck in everything you do........

Social Security for "guest workers" (aka illegal aliens)

Good afternoon everyone. Well this starts a new week and April is fast approaching, so is the warmer weather and hopefully many enjoyable rides on my Harley.
First though, I have some questions, and I don't have the answers. Our elected President is really boosting his new immagration bill he likes to refer to as his "GUEST WORKER" bill. Ok so far I know what he means. What really escapes me is this........he is intent on giving these "guest workers" social security status. Yes social security status. I mean this has been coming for quite some time. Since about 2004, when the US government built a Social Security building with US tax dollars in Mexico. I believe that the said building is in Mexico City and cost between 60 and 80 million dollars. Now thats some tax payer cabbage mind you.
The question I have about this whole agenda is why? Why the devil is this man so intent on taking care of the Mexicans? We have some serious problems with the Mexicons, not only immagration issues, but issues with the accountability of the government, the question of the high level corruption within the Mexican government. SO now we gotta use our tax dollars to to give these alien non residents...er excuse me...I mis-spoke....."guest workers". Social friggin Security, on my tax dollar? I don't mean to sound dim, or maybe I do.....but ya know what? It's time charity started with our own people, inside our own borders, right here and now. I'm sorry but this is pure nonsense.
There are things I have supported the Presidential Adminstration on(very few), but I have. This one I can't.
Our country is still feeling the devastation from hurricane Katrina and Rita. There are still people here on our own Gulf coast that still haven't received any form of government help. So we do things to make it easier for aliens to cross our borders, work at jobs with cut rate wages. I mean just what is this current leader of the free world thinking right now? He's a cowboy all right, right outta a Texas.
I can't believe this, it is so hard for me to comprehend this way of thinking.
It has been almost 5 years since 9/11 and our borders are no better or any more secure than when we were attacked. It is reported by some of the news agencies that our borders are less secure in areas than they were before 9/11.
I think it's time for the American people, Republican and Democrate alike to say....ALRIGHT, enough is enough, lets get our shit together and get back on track. Again you can call me dimified, or naive, but ya know what......Enough...is Enough.....

HEY!!!! Have a great day and a great week, good luck in all your endeavors.

Katrina still lingers, and now a coverup in Aruba?! NO!!!

Well.....where do I start...I guess with Sheriff Billy McGee. Billy a Mississippi Sheriff got'm self in hot water with the government. It seems that 6 days after Katrina came roaring ashore, there still was no relief in sight for the people in Billys jurisdiction....So Billy decided enough was enough. Now Billy knew that FEMA had tractortrailers full of ice just sitting at a military training reservation down the road a piece. So Billy instructed his deputies to get (comandeer) a couple of the tractortrailers, and I guess that in the process of the comandeering, a National Guard Soldier got handcuffed. Now thats all the information the news services are putting out on the wire.
Now never mind that FEMA negelected to respond to the disaster. Michael Brown was to busy sending Emails about being a FEMA fashion plate, and Chertoff must have been watching the Cartoon Network, because he certainly wasn't paying attention to the Cable News Services or the intelligence reports coming in from his people in the field. Lets get back to Billy.
So now we have Sheriff Billy McGee left to his own decisions, he's there, he's present. He makes a decision, and goes with it. The man steps up to the plate.
Enter someone from the government. They are pissed and want Billy dealt with.So the deal gets handed to the Mississippi Attorneys General Office.....they don't want to step up to the plate. The Attorney General recuses himself because he is a member of the National Guard. So now the case has been handed off to the Alabama Attorney General, and left to them to decide wether or not charges be brought against Billy McGee. I think maybe the officials should pass the buck a little more...or better yet say "ya know what...this is bullshit" and drop it.
I'm a retired lawenforcement officer......I gotta side with the Sheriff on this one. It's not like the guy took the job last night, he knows what he's doing. This guy like I said earlier in this piece was in a hard spot, he felt he had to do something.
My hats off to Billy McGee, job well done....to the National Guard Soldier that got handcuffed, sorry, I gotta take the side of the Sheriff. My vote is let the guy go, let him get back to being Sheriff.
Then we have another cop in the News.....Gerold Dompig Deputy Chief of Police Aruba. According to Dompig, he now speculates that Natalee Holloway may of had alcohol poisoning, and possible drug abuse, resulting in her death. He says he also has information, new information, that there may have been a cover up in Natalees death. Ok folks....something stinks here. I think we all here in the USA know that there was probably a cover up right from the get go on this one. Not to mention less than inferior police work by Dompig and his crew. Something else that needs to be considered is how much pressure did the Aruban government put on Dompig to make this nasty ugly incident go away. I'm not defending Dompig, I'm just wondering if there was pressure from the political pundits in Aruba. I mean their main stay in life on the island is tourism.
I think Dompig is incompetent, uncooperative, and has been extremely evasive about the facts in the Holloway case. If they do find her remains, they had better have FBI forensics there to do the tests, as I think these Arubans will do anything to stop Natalees death from becoming a murder. It just wouldn't look good for Aruba to have an 18 w/f from the United States killed while she was vacationing on their Island paradise, especially if Dutch Nationals are the responsible parties. Now...would it? Just a little mind fodder for thought, from a completely retired police officer with to much time on his hands.

Have a great weekend, and good luck,

I know what I know

Hello everyone, hope your day is good. I'm a biker, been riden Harleys for about 30 years or there abouts. I started young, very young, and my first bike was actually borrowed, didn't run, and needed a lot of work. I got it running, and I rode it(illegal as hell too). Never got caught except one time I had a minor accident with it. Everything was settled without benefit of police assistance. In those days it could happen and if done right there were no adverse consequences.
I learned a lot from my early experiences from the older bikers. Most of them were ex-service, military individuals. They had a way about them. They weren't loud mouths, not braggerts or bullies. They had purpose, much of that purpose was to Live Free, and Ride Free.
They lived by the montra, if you don't bother me, I won't give you a second look, but tread on me, an I'll tear you in half without a second thought.
They influenced me so much, during the Vietnam War I enlisted so as to avoid the draft and end up in a situation not to my liking. However, a greater power than me had other ideas. I was not accepted by the military because of a knee injury. So the wise gentlemen at the Upstate New York draft board gave me an option. Rather than give me a medical deferment, they advised me that if I could prove that I was in an Institution for greater education, the would give me an educational deferment, rather than the medical. They said a medical deferment would follow me the rest of my life, and being that the injury I had would heal in time, they suggested the college approach to non military service.
Well....it worked. I went to college, received a degree in Liberal Arts with a Criminal Justice Associates. I also dabbled enough in Commercial Art I also qualified for a 2 year degree in Commercial Art.
About 5 years after college, I ended up being a cop in the Southern Tier of New York State. I retired from that job, and now work for a local educational system. I have a good life, and I live free and ride free.
I know the economy isn't good. I also know that our great country is in dire need of leadership. The Republicans have lost their edge, the democrates don't have anyone that can measure up either. I feel that both parties actions are devisive to the country and well being of the entire population.
We need to actively take up securing our immediate borders. I'm not talking just about the southwest. I mean ALL of the borders.
We need to take an active part in taking care of the infrastructure of the country. It needs work, and lots of it.
We need to reassure people that the government is a government .....FOR THE PEOPLE by THE PEOPLE.
It's not just President Bushs job to get this message out, it's the responsebility of each and everyone of us as Americans to do it.
I don't care if you are for the war against the war, Republican or Democrate, black, white ,purple, pink, or blue in color. If you are an American, natural or sworn in as one, it is your RIGHT to say what your opinion is, as long as you do it with respect.
Ladies and gentlemen, we need to make our country great again, make it strong, and safe for Americans. I know what I know.......
So lets get to work.

Good afternoon, and good luck in all your endeavors........

Lawyers manipulate the law....imagine that!!!!

Haven't bloged in awhile....well boy I'm gonna blog now! Got something to say, and I ain't happy.
I'm sure everyone has heard about the case in Florida involving the school teacher Lafave and an unamed 14 year old boy. Well the Judge refused to accept the plea agreement. The presocuters and the defense attornies both asked the judge to accept the plea. Both sides cited that it would be extremely traumatic to the 14 year old youth,if he had to testify.
The Judge responded with several comments, he more or less stated that the agreement would undermine the peoples faith in the Criminal Justice System, and also send the message to criminals that just because a defendant doesn't want to testify that they can get away with their crimes. (I agree with the Judge on this one.)
However, the prosecuters are going to drop the charges. So the 14 year old boy doesn't have to testify.
Now what I'm about to digress to is gonna piss a lot of people off.....to bad. If this were a guy that had had sex with a 14 year old female, he'd be gone already. The guy would be in prison, getting what he deserves( in more than one way), thats what happens to sexual predators in jail. It's the law of the jungle. Anyway.......now we have the charges dismissed, little miss good looking ex-teacher Lafave doesn't have to face what she did. Ain't it beautiful? What the Fuck ? What are these people thinking?
Now to get to the 14 year old who can't testify because of all the pressure from the press coverage. BULLSHIT,BULLSHIT......BULLSHIT! This little panty waist wasn't crying any when he was having his virginity taken by the teacher now was he. The kid had relations with her more than once, and in the presence of his friggin cousin in the back of an SUV for Christsake......GIVE ME A FRIGGIN BREAK.
Make the kid testify, make her go to jail, and be done with it. NOPE...not gonna happen. The charges are dismissed, and she walks all over this kid one more time because the lawyers are........who knows what they are. This really smells.
I bet Lafave don't smell though, she just flashs those baby blues and smiles, and everyone bends over to kiss her ass.....except the Judge. Except what the Judge said was trashed by the prosecuters who are obviously in concert with Lafave and her lawyers.
Horray for American Criminal Justice.......it has just been trashed once more, by lawyering, and I wouldn't call it good lawering either.

Good Luck in all your endeavors, more and more ya are going to need it in this country.

Do I dare ask? or Here we go again.......?

Good morning people of the world. I am distressed, very distressed this morning. During my morning coffee, I fired up the ole computer, and I checked out this mornings news headlines. Pres. Bush is right there, posturing about diplomicy, and then jumping to "First Strike" doctrines, in regards to countries that are considering "Weapons of Mass Destruction", the same type of weapons that were never found in Iraq.
I'm guessing that the Pres. is warming up just incase we can't reach a diplomatic solution with Iran, and have to bomb the be'Jesus outta their nuclear developement facilities. It's just a wild hair guess, thats all. I mean he certainly isn't referrring to India, I mean he just got done telling them that the United States is willng to work with them on their nuclear developement.( Oh Hell Ya! makes sense to me....just a little sarcasim).
OK, moving on......I see Jim Baker wants to form...opps er...excuse me....is forming a bipartisan team to look into the war in Iraq....5 Republicans and 5 Democrats....they are alledgedly going to take an objective look at the war, give their opinion as to how well the war is going, are we winning or losing, and what will the consequences be if we do lose the war in Iraq. Hey I hope it works. I think it's a step in the right direction. It will be interesting to hear what these 10 people say. Although they didn't give a time frame for their investigation. Lets hope it sheds some different light on what is going on over there.
Then we have the political posturing that is occuring, both sides of the aisle getting ready for the up coming elections.....I'm not going to get into specifics, but it is almost amusing the way political pundits change their stances and opinions to fit what ever topic they are trying to politicize at the given moment. It can make ones head spin......
Then we have the ENRON trial. Now this I hope is followed through to fruition. I hope these sleazy stealing bastards get many, many years in prison. They say things are bigger in texas, lets hope they get Texas sized sentences when it's all said and done.
The we have the stpid theif award for one of our local Mini Mart Gas Station clerks. This occured here in the Soutern Tier of good ole New York State. Apparently, a store clerk ripped the store off of those scratch off New York State Lottery tickets......well it seems after she ripped the store off of the tickets, she apparently had one of the tickest that was a sizable winner. So she cashs it in at the store where she worked, the same store that she stole them from. Well it didn't take the store owners and the cops long to figure out who stole the tickets.
Ladeef%&k'nda! Now this person deserves to get caught, just plain dumb, dumb, dumb. I guess justice is served sometimes after all.....
Have a great day, and good luck in all your endeavors........

Let them and their families rest in peace....PLEASE!!!

......I just saw a news report about the funerals of some of our slain soldiers killed in Afghanistan and Iraq. A very disturbing account of what our nation has come to. I don't care if you agree about the war or not, but what I'm about to relate needs to stop, and stop immediately.
Apparently there is a group or groups of war protesters that like to attend the funerals of soldiers killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq. When they attend the funerals they don't do it out of respect to the slain soldiers. They carry signs that say..."God Loves a dead Soldier".....apparently in some cases the signs have read to the effect, "I'm glad your son or daughter died in the war..." I don't know about anyone else, but I feel this conduct is an insult to many, many things the United States of America stands for, what a black eye this gives our country.
I understand that we are a democracy. I think I understand this more adroitly than a lot of people. I don't have a problem with war protestors. However....to use the death of American men and women to prove a point that most people already know.....is shameful, unpatriotic, and just plain ignorant.
Now......be for warned, if I happen to attend a military funeral, and some non descript asshole shows up with a sign that states anything close to that persons opinion that he or she is glad the individual died serving their country, or "God loves dead military people....." with or with out anyones help.....there will be trouble. I personally will not tolerate this type of behavior from fellow citizens.
It is an absolute that this type of behavior is unacceptable, and I feel that if you want to protest the war, do it elsewhere, not at the funeral of someone that dies in the service of their country......
With this said.....have a great day, and good luck....

This just in....for christsakes!!!!!

Well....the Moussaoui trial is on hold......on friggin hold. Apparently a lawyer for the Federal Aviation Administration coached 4 different witness's for the government.
Ya know what really bothers me? This guy was up to his ears in the attacks on our country. He has professed his desire to bring death raining down on the American infidels. We had an oppurtunity to take this shitbird to trial on our laws on our sacred ground, on our terms, and what do we do. SCREW IT UP!!! Some lawyer let his ego run rampant, he decided to COACH 2 witness's that probably didn't need coaching( what ever the devil coaching means). I don't know why this lawyer chose to do this, but it really sucks. Especially when it is in direct violation of the Court Judges directions and orders.
I guess there is an idiot in every bunch, and it seems there are bunches of them in the good ole USA. I guess that it's the way it is here in the USA. I used to hear lawyers, {especially lawyers} say...."it's the only system we have, and we have to work with in it...." ya right. Give me a friggin break...... the system they speak about is so inconsistant it ain't humorous at all.
If you can't tell, this developement just pisses me off, and it's even more clear, that the system is to friggin fragile, and can be manipulated all to easily....especially if we can't get a deadly conspirator convicted to death......

It's just to damning shameful insight to our country.......
Then again, if there is an upside to this story, any upside at all? Then maybe the screw up by the FAA lawyers, will have the silver lining. That of Moussaoui being confined in a Federal Prison cell for the rest of his natural life. Like maybe even kept in his cell 23 1/2 hours a day with a half hour each day to shower and recreate.
This would give Moussaoui the opurtunity to get to know his Allah well before the meeting of the two.
It's just to bad, that our own Federal Justice systyem employees can't abide by a courts rulings with out screwing up a system that already has many, many flaws.

With that in mind, have a great day and good luck......

L8TR everyone........

Really? I'll be damned!!!

Good morning, and I trust everyone had a good weekend. Great!
Well.......I see that The Hells Angels are in the process of suing Walt Disney over what the HA are referring to as copy right infraction.
It seems as though WD is making a movie about middle aged bikers, and I guess some where in the movie WD has seen fit to use the Hells Angels "Flying Death Head Skull" as part of the props for their movie.
You are probably wondering where I'm going with all this? Well I'm just kinda looking at it from a laymans point of view.
Now, if the HA has their "Flying Deaths head skull" copyrighted, the WD has no right to use it with out their premission, and I would assume must pay the HA royalties for use of their copy righted symbol, or if the HA doesn't want it used, they can't use it.
WD says what the hell, we'll just go ahead and use it. They start making the film, used the HA symbol in the film, and POOF! A law suit is born.
Now believe me, the Hells Angels are bad guys, I think we all understand that point. Also they went to a great deal of trouble to get their "Flying deaths head skull" copyrighted. They paid for it to be recorded and documented as theirs and theirs only.
So along comes WD, and they just go ahead and use this symbol in their movie, regardless of the circumstances and the consequences. Now I know that WD is a big, big entity. They have a great deal of wealth and political backing. The question I have? Is this. Unless the pundits at WD have been living in a cave for the last 30 years or so, have never heard of Sony Barger, or the Hells Angels, why would they want to incurr the rath of a nationly and internationly notorius 1 percent biker organization such as the Helss Angels?
I mean it's not unlike these guys to pull along side a car or another motorcyclist, and take ball pean hammers to the individuals there abouts inflicting very unpleasant injuries to them.
I mean really folks, why would you do this. Why create a problem for ones self, especially when the history of the aforementioned organization is that notorius.
Does WD feel that they are so well known, and so big, and so affluent, that they will be exempt from the rath of the Hells Angels? That because they are so big and so famous that they can do as they damn well please? I'll just bet old Walt Disney himself is probably turning over in his grave right about now.
Yes folks, these are the questions that my mind ponders. Why? I have no idea. It's just shit that I think about.
I see also now that the Democrtes want to censure Mr Bush, because of his wire taps on on private citizens in the name of fighting the war on terror. Politics makes my head spin. Just what the hell do they think this will accomplish in the great scheme of things. The Republicans will never go for it....but thats besides the point. Just what good is it going to do the general population of the United States. Is it going to make our borders more secure? Is it going to solve the Medicare debacle? Is it going to stop the secular fighting in Iraq? Is it going to put the Gulf coast back on track?I think not.
I just wonder what it will take to get an effective, rational, working government back in the nations Capitol. As I see it from my point of view, we are only hurting our selves, and doing nothing that will benefit the general American public. Again you probably ask, why do I dwell on this shit. I don't, I ask the questions, I think about what could be done, and I write about it.
At this point in my life it's all I can do right now. Maybe at some point in the future I will have someones ear that I can get to listen to my point of view, until then, about my only recourse is to share my thoughts here on my blog.
I thank my lucky stars that I live in a place where I can write about what I think is going on and give my opinion. The reason I'm thankful for that is, because there are still places in the world, you'd be shot, just for sharing your opinion, especially if it goes against the grain of the government, or the powers that be think it goes against the grain of the government.
With that said, everyone have a great day, a great week, and good luck in all your endeavors.

Responsibility..................

Good morning America, how are ya!!?? Nothing much going on. The world of politics is upside down as usual. The President is trying to salvage his low ratings by touring the badly stricken Gulf coast area. Good luck dude, you are gonna need it.
The single harbinger of the Jihad, Mohammed Taheri-Azar is still behind bars, I think. It makes me wonder, if every nut inside our borders now is going to take up as a Muslim Jihadist as an excuse to mow people down just because he's pissed, then turn around and say "Allah told me to do it." I think the authorities really need to take their time with this case, establish some GOOD case law around this type of carnage, and make this guy accept responsibility for the crime. Even if he won't admit wrong doing, and stays the claim it was a religious war act. Hold him accountable to the letter of the law.
Don't deport the smiling little bastard either. Put him into a Federal Prison, no contact with anyone, 23 1/2 hours a day in his cell, then he can get real cozy with his Allah. It's all about responsibility.
I really think we all have to accept the fact our world has changed. Our saftey is definately in question, even here at home. The attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the airliner that crashed in Pensylvannia attribute that fact. Not that everyone should be hyper-vigilant(or should we?), but I think as US citizens, we all need to take some responsibility for keeping our world safe.
What does that mean? Hey......if you see something, or hear something, and it raises the red warning signals for you......contact the authorites. I think our local agencies are much more intune with the possible event of terrorism taking place close to home than pre WTC attacks. I don't mean to act paranoid, just be aware of your surrondings.
When I was preretired police officer, we never knew when that one decisive tip was going to come in that would solve an outstanding "Who Done it". Ya know what? It always came when we least expected it. So, don't be afraid to report incidents. Human intelligence is the absolute most dependable. Most cops welcome it.
Getting back to the President and his fading approval ratings. Now here is a prime example of being aware of your surrondings. If this guy has listened to his advisors( then again maybe he did or didn't), anyway, just maybe it wouldn't appear that they got caught in a lurch they now are having one hell of a time explaining. I don't think there are any quick fixes to the Gulf coast, I think it will all take time. I really question the preparedness of the Federal Goverment and their ability to respond to a large scale emergency.
We have many border deficits in this country. Very few are being dealt with. I did however see that Arizona is sending troops to bolster the Border Patrol because of illegal immigration. Good for them, someone has to take the bull by the horns. Lets just hope it all works out. I'm skeptical how National Guard and Border Patrol Officers will work out. Time will tell I guess.
At any rate....evreyone have a great day, and good luck.........

Some thoughts about the cops.......although biased they might be.

Good mornin everyone......haven't made any entries in awhile. Got that damn flu......and man I gotta say, I got my ass kicked, cut off, and handed to me. I mean it's been a life time and I haven't fet this bad. Still feeling the effects of it. Next year......THE FLU SHOT!
OK......just some words about the cops. Lately there has been some bad press about the cops. The deputy that shot the airman, the New Jersey cops who got fired for excessive force. If they deliberately exceeded their authority and hurt someone, I'm gonna be one of the first guys to say," All right let's deal with'm quick, fair, and deliberate." Lets not sit around and pontificate that they know better because they are cops. Guess what......they screwed up just like normal people do and they gotta answer for their mistakes. Take responsibility and all that. Face the music, acknowledge what they did, and move on. They have to accept what ever the law dictates. Please though, lets make sure they get a fair shake, and their punishment is consistent with the crime. Don't over punish the guy just because he was a cop.
OK....that said, I wanna say something else.......
We just had a New York State Trooper killed in the line of duty here in the Southern Tier. A little over a week ago we had another uniformed police officer near Utica gunned down.(As was the NYS Trooper)
The New York State Trooper God Rest his soul, got 5 shots off after being shot himself. The Trooper was wounded fatally. He went down with a good fight...GOD BLESS'M, to bad he didn't kill the SOB's that shot him up. He'd be saving us tax payers a whole bunch of money, but he at least wounded the animals and that lead to their arrests as they went for treatment and the authorities were called.
Now both these Law Enforcement Officials were wearing their bullit proof vests. I think the Officer near Utica took a head shot. (Note: The skell that shot this guy lost a gun battle in Chester Pa. with the Law Dogs there, good work fellas, he won't be shooting anymore cops.)
The Trooper that was killed took a shot to the lower abdomin where the vest doesn't cover and it was his demise.
It seems that these criminals today just don't give a rip about anyone, especially the cops that are chasing them. They shoot now where the vests don't cover, making it obvious that they want to kill. Well ya know what?.......screw'm. I say if the cops that are giving chase to these skells that are armed and want to have a shoot out, the cops get to shoot first. Sorry if this sounds a little over the line. Damnit, enough is a enough. These two guys that were killed in the last two weeks are hereos, ain't no one in the world can take that away from them. They died with Honor and bravery, except they are dead, and to me that is unacceptable.
Ya I know we see bad stuff in the news everyday about bad cops doing bad things. Actually it is a very small percentage of the active police officers that do the bad things. The guys that go out everyday, wearing their badge, vest and gun, making it safe for the rest of us are usually pretty good guys. ( I used to be one). They are human, have families and the like.
If it weren't for them, we'd be in big, big trouble.
It's these guys that have to deal with the likes of Mohammed Taheri-Azar. The smiling little bastard that ran over 9 people with his rented SUV in North Carolina.( This Iranian national asshole was punishing the US government....Why? Because Allah told him to. I think it's time for Taheri to meet Allah) I actually think the guys that brought him in are a little better than me. If it had been me that brought him in, he'd a needed medical attention before they could have booked him on the prescribed charges. I guess maybe it's a good thing I'm not a cop anymore, I really don't think I could handle the pressures that our Law Enforcement people face today. With that said.....

Good day and good luck...............

What escapes me is..................

Good morning everyone. As the title of this post states, there are a few things that continue to escape me. Those being the irresponsible people in the news services who could really put some pressure on the powers that be( Bush Administration) and don't, they capitulate everytime.
The Vargas woman from ABC news interviewed the President. What does she ask? Questions that we all know the answers to. Are we prepared for another natural disaster.......What about Iraq ? She asked the President about love and family.....GIVE ME A FRIGGIN BREAK!!!!
Why not ask some hard questions, I mean here she has a chance to really get down and dirty, but doesn't. Know why? Because she has to present the questions she is going to ask ahead of time, they are either approved or rejected by the Administration. So actually the so called free press or interviewrer is censured before the interview is even given. If I were the news service guys I'd say screw you guys, then I'd get on the nightly news and tell the nation " Well, we were supposed to interview the President, but he wouldn't let us ask the questions we wanted to ask, so we took our ball and went home." The problem with that though is there is some other newsie willing to take the interview with censured questions. So tell me....is that free press? I don't think so. It's at the very least a controlled press, or news reporting.
This guys ratings are at an all time low. He needs to answer for his decisions. He needs to be pressured to answer some questions we all want the answers to.
No one, I mean no one is willing to press the hardline questions to this guy or the Administration, and when they do, it's usually met with we can't discuss it. They won't discuss it, because they know there isn't a good viable reason for this guys decision, or the reasons are because of negative politcal posturing on his part.
As you all know, and I know I have said this before, we are at war ladies and gentlemen. That means we are constantly sending people into harms way. The people that have to go into harms way go, don't argue, they go. They feel it's their duty. Ok.....so what does their Commander in Chief do? He cuts veterans benefits......our wounded, our severely wounded aren't getting the follow up care they need, to go on with their lives.
So what happens? When a News Service gets an interview with President of the United States, you can't ask him why? I'm only guessing that if these questions are posed in a pre-interview review by the White House who ever, they are deemed to volatile for the President to address. Why? He created the need for the questions to be asked. These decisions are his, he is the Commander in Chief. If anyone can get care for the soldiers returning from Iraq...he can. If anyone can do something to protect these proud brave people that are fighting for their lives in the Middle East, he can. He sent them there.
I can't believe there is more outcry from regular citizens like you and me about this issue.
Once in awhile we hear from other politicians about it, but not nearly enough. I just do wonder.....what do Americans really care about anymore. What has happened to our patriotism. Are we all so concerned and entombed by the American dream that we can't pay attention to what is going on around us?
So I ask......What is the world coming to today? Especially the world that is closest to me.....the United States....and all it stands for....or used to stand for.
It as of lately doesn't seem as if we are at all we are united on anything.
Let me see some comments that will maybe change my mind...give me some ideas as to how I can contribute more that I do here at my blog..........

Thanks.......have a great day and Good Luck......
